Introducing accessible ultrafast connectivity with Gigabit Essential

At Exa Networks, we've been working to make ultrafast conectivity more accessible than ever for schools and businesses, making it easier for organisations to improve day-to-day Internet performance and reliability, while opening the door to a range of new possibilities. As such, we've introduced Gigabit Essential as an affordable, highly accessible option for ultrafast connectivity.

Designed to deliver completely symmetrical speeds, Gigabit Essential provides users with either 500 Mbps or 1 Gbps (1000 Mbps) speed via an effective GPON network, allowing us to provide excellent, highly reliable Internet connectivity at a significantly lower price point than similar options.

Gigabit Essential is one of our latest connectivity options for businesses and schools, along with Gigabit Pure, a completely uncontended service available alongside Gigabit Essential. If you're interested in finding out more about Gigabit Essential (and how it can benefit you), get in touch with our team through the form at the bottom of this page, or at 0345 145 1234.

Installing Gigabit Essential

We're able to provide our Gigabit services in a huge range of cities across the UK, from Edinburgh down to Reading, bringing hundreds of thousands of businesses and schools access to ultrafast Internet speeds. Head over to our Gigabit Cities page for a full overview of the areas in which Gigabit Essential is available to order.

Gigabit Essential is a GPON-based service, provided with a low contention ratio rather than being uncontended. As such, at peak times you may experience some minor slowdown, although our network is highly provisioned, and our service uses a low contention ratio, minimising slowdown. Gigabit Pure is completely uncontended, removing this effect entirely.
